Sabian Astro Astrology through the Sabian symbols

Tomorrow’s Full Moon Is Asking a Very Aries Question: What Do You Want?

If the Moon looks full tonight, you are not imagining it. It is already about 98% illuminated. But technically, the Full Moon does not arrive until tomorrow — Saturday, September 26, at 12:49 p.m. EDT — when the Moon reaches 3°37′ Aries and sits directly opposite the Sun at 3°37′ Libra.

And this one is interesting.

Every Full Moon is an opposition between the Sun and Moon, so there is always some kind of tension between two sides of a story. This time, the axis is Aries and Libra, which may be the clearest “me versus we” axis in the zodiac.

Aries asks: What do I want? What do I need? What happens if I stop waiting for permission and simply move?

Libra asks: What is fair? What keeps the peace? What does the relationship need? How do I make room for somebody besides myself?

Neither one is wrong. That is what makes this Full Moon useful.

The question is not whether you should choose yourself or choose other people.

The real question is whether the balance has become dishonest.

Maybe you have been compromising so much that you cannot quite remember what you originally wanted. Maybe you have been keeping something pleasant on the surface while resentment quietly grows underneath it. Or maybe the opposite is true: you have been so focused on your own urgency that you have stopped noticing what your choices are asking from the people around you.

A Full Moon tends to make things visible. It does not necessarily create the problem. It turns the light on.

And this particular Moon is arriving with Neptune very close by, which makes the whole thing a little more complicated. Neptune can make feelings enormous, beautiful, intuitive and deeply meaningful. It can also make them blurry. You can feel something with your entire body and still not have the whole story yet.

So if something suddenly feels obvious this weekend, I would take the feeling seriously — but I would not assume your first explanation for it is automatically the correct one.

That distinction matters.

You may know that something has to change before you know exactly what the change is. You may know that a relationship dynamic is no longer working before you know what to do about it. You may feel a very strong “no” before you can explain why. Aries is comfortable with that. Libra would like a little more evidence.

Meanwhile, Pluto is making a supportive connection to this lunation, and Uranus is involved too. Symbolically, that adds a strong undertone of change: not necessarily destruction, but the sense that an old arrangement can be reorganized if you are willing to be honest about what no longer fits.

So what should you actually do with this Full Moon?

Notice where you are irritated. Notice where you are over-explaining. Notice where you keep saying “it’s fine” when it is clearly not fine. Notice where you are asking for permission you do not really need.

But also notice where you may be reacting before you understand what you are reacting to.

This is fiery Aries energy moving through a Neptunian fog. That can be incredibly intuitive. It can also be impulsive. The useful middle ground is to trust the signal without immediately marrying yourself to the story you have built around it.

The Full Moon becomes exact tomorrow afternoon, but we are already very much inside the build toward it tonight. So if you feel restless, emotional, unusually certain, unusually confused, or somehow all four at once, the astrology is at least giving us a very good symbol for that.

One question is enough for this weekend:

If I stopped trying to keep everything balanced for one minute, what would I admit that I actually want?

You do not have to act on the answer immediately. Just let yourself hear it.
